Outdoors, the landscaping of Harbinger House by Sprout Studio and Gardens fit well with the building and its themes.
Using raised beds for veggies and herbs in the side yard is always a nice idea - but putting them in rolling tubs was a beautiful twist.
Natives and drought tolerant plants were utilized appropriately; and the pots of bamboo worked remarkably well to screen out noise from the surrounding tradeshow floor.

Catching rainwater from the roof may not be revolutionary any more; but the Rainwater Hog containers chosen worked especially well for the site.
The three ancient olive trees on the site also added ambiance as climate-appropriate large plantings to anchor the yard.
The only outdoor feature that didn't synch with the green theme of the house was the over-the-top outdoor kitchen, complete with refridgerator and enormous grill. But that, apparently, was not a choice made by Sprout. So, like landscape designers often have to do, they worked around this obstacle.
